United’s Tentative Budget Shows Deficits Due to Cost Fluctuations

The United Board of Education has set a tentative budget before locking in a final budget at the September meeting. Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt says there are two areas showing some deficits:

Additionally, as part of the life safety plan at United, phones are being installed in all the classrooms in all school buildings, which will provide safety as well as connect the buildings through an intercom system.
