WCHD Administrator Link Says Novavax COVID Vaccine Now Available Locally

Share

Warren County Health Department Administrator Jenna Link says the European COVID-19 vaccine Novavax is now available:

“We do now have Novavax, which is the vaccine primarily used in the European countries. It is developed more like our traditional vaccines and a lot of people were hesitant to get the COVID vaccine because they felt like it was a new vaccine with the mRNA. So, this Novavax does not use the mRNA as a way to develop the vaccine.”

The Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is a two-shot series. Testing and vaccines are available at the Warren County Health Department Mondays through Thursdays; call 309-734-1314.
