Douglas M. Bruce, 62, of Oquawka, IL, passed away at 4:30 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

He was born on January 17, 1956 in Reno, NV the son of Lucas D. and Betty (Kidd) Bruce.  Doug graduated from high school in Sacramento, CA.

Doug married Annette L. Stotler in Reno, NV on February 12, 2001; they later divorced. 

Doug drove a truck for CGB Twomey Company for many years before his retirement.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his family and friends. 

Surviving Doug is his sister, Deb (Jay) Johnson of Red Bluff, CA; mother-in-law, Elsie Stotler of Keithsburg, IL; ex-wife, Annette Stotler of Burlington, IA; and close friend, Barbara McGann of Oquawka, IL. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Glenn Bruce. 

Cremation rites have been accorded.  No visitation or services are planned at this time.  Memorials can be made to the Doug Bruce Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.    McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com
