Next summer, students from Monmouth-Roseville High School will be taking a trip to Europe, making stops in London, Paris, Mulan, Florence, and Rome, and are currently hosting a shoe drive through October 11th, explains Nicole Trego:
“I was looking for something that wasn’t going to cost people money. I found this program, it is called Funds2Org, and we are aiming for 100 bags filled with 25 pairs of shoes, new or used, slightly used. So basically, we are looking for 2,500 pairs of shoes. They can be dropped off at the high school office at any time. With that, we earn $1,000. The organization pays us $1,000 for those shoes and they clean them up as they need to, and they get them out to shelters and other locations where people need shoes to wear.”
In addition to dropping shoes off at Monmouth-Roseville High School, shoes will be collected at the radio station.
