New IL State Police Regional Headquarters planned for East St. Louis

A new Illinois State Police regional headquarters is planned for East Saint Louis. The state-of-the-art headquarters will house two outdated local offices and take a holistic approach to reducing violent crime says Governor JB Pritzker.

“The new multi-mission facility will not only increase safety for residents but will be an anchor for new residential and business investment. East Saint Louis will be home to Illinois State Police patrol, investigations, communications, and SWAT resources.”

The land comes from local non-profit group Lansdowne Up. The design phase will soon get underway with completion estimated to be in about three to four years.
