Oquawka Man Arrested for Armed Robbery

Henderson County Sheriff Steven P. Henshaw reports on Sunday, 9/25/2022 at 10:17AM, a Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to 800 Schuyler St. in Oquawka, IL, (Phillip’s 66 Gas Station) for a report of a suspicious male in the gas station armed with a knife, and hitting customers.

After investigation the Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Adam J. Huss, age 34 of Oquawka, IL, for Armed Robbery and two counts of Aggravated Battery. Huss was taken into custody, transported to the Henderson County Jail where he was processed then jailed.

Huss is accused of going into the gas station, going up to the cashier, demanding her to run it and showing her a pocket knife and then starting an altercation with customers.

Huss’s charges were no bond charges and was seen today in front of a Judge for a bond hearing. Huss’s bond was set at $100,000 10% to apply, with a court date of 10/19/2022 at 9:30AM.

Huss is innocent until proven guilty.
