United Red Storm Girls Golfers Capture Second Consecutive LTC Championship

The United Red Storm girls golf team traveled to Valley View Golf Course in Cambridge on Wednesday for the Lincoln Trail Conference Railsplitter Championship Tournament. The Red Storm won their second straight conference title, shooting a team score of 445, twenty strokes better than runner up Mercer County. Individually, United had three girls in the top 10 to earn All-Conference honors. Brodi McVeigh was 8th with a 108 and Emmie Briggs and Leighton Trego tied for 9th with 111’s. Jalyn Wallace’s 115 rounded out the scoring for the Red Storm. West Central’s Elaina Fisher was 2nd with a 93 to earn all-conference honors. Knoxville’s Madyson Hilgenberg shot a 105 to place 5th and also earn a spot on the 10-golfer LTC All-Conference team. A-Town was led by Sydney Emerick’s 158.
