Warren-Henderson Relay for Life This Saturday at Sunny Lane

Share

The annual Warren-Henderson County Relay for Life event at Sunny Lane Field in Monmouth will be held Saturday, September 24th from 4 to 7:30 pm. American Cancer Society Senior Development Manager Stacey Dutton has the timeline of events:

“We will of course have our opening ceremony and the Monmouth-Roseville choir will be singing the National Anthem and will perform a little more after that. We invite all of our survivors to come out at the opening at 4 pm and then the Survivor Lap will be right after that. Then for the kids, or adults, we have face painting, and we will be bringing out the giant Twister. We are working on some other little activities that can be going while people are walking just enjoying the music and enjoying coming together. The Monmouth-Roseville cheer is going to perform and will help us cheer and celebrate those survivors. Then our luminaria will be at 7 pm.”

Luminaria bags can be purchased locally at F&M Bank, Midwest Bank in Oquawka or Monmouth, and online at https://secure.acsevents.org/site/STR?pg=entry&fr_id=101863.
