Craig J. Weber, 69, of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 3:15 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 20, 1953 in Washington D.C., the son of Norman and V. Bethene (Ulm) Weber. Craig was raised and educated in London Mills, IL and graduated from Spoon River Valley High School in 1971. He later graduated from Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL with a Teaching Degree.

Craig married Melissa L. Douglas on September 5, 2021 in Galesburg, IL; she survives.

Craig worked for many years at Maytag in Galesburg as a Supervisor. He later worked as a Manager at General Grind in Aledo, IL.  Craig was a friend and mentor to many.   He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and going to the casino. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving Craig is his wife, Melissa Weber of Galesburg, IL; one daughter, Ashlie (Brian Good) Douglas of Oneida, IL; one brother, Bob (Peg) Weber; one sister, Julie (Rich) Witherell; one niece, Cassie (Kyle Perry) Judkins; two nephews, Drew (Vanessa) Witherell, Chans (Whitney) Weber; one great nephew, and four great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation or services are planned at this time. Memorials can be made to OSF Hospice and sent to the funeral home.
