Delores J. “Dee” Sprinkle, 82, of Galesburg, died at 8:04 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022, in the Knox County Nursing Home.

She was born May 31, 1940, in Belleville, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Nellie (Rector) Warren.  She married Duane A. Sprinkle on June 1, 1960.

She is survived by three sons, Steve Sprinkle, Brian (fiancé Deb Wintory) Sprinkle, and Daniel Sprinkle, all of Galesburg; eight grandchildren, Brianna Sprinkle, Ashley Sprinkle, Candice Sosa, Megan Sosa, Cheyenne Sosa, Aric Sprinkle, Jake Sprinkle, and Jessica Kemp; 14 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Everett Warren; and a sister, Phyllis Barton.

Dee worked at the former Swedoughs when she was younger.  She then worked as a department manager for many years at JC Penney and Wal Mart before retiring.  She was of the Baptist faith.  In her spare time, Dee enjoyed bowling, knitting, quilting, needle point, camping, fishing, gardening, and bird watching.  In her much younger years, she enjoyed bar hopping with her sister-in-law, Pat.

Cremation will be accorded.  Her remains will be scattered in a ceremony at East Linwood Cemetery on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 2 p.m.  There will be no visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Nursing Home.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Galesburg is honored to serve the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
