James “Jim” McClintic, age 78, of Biggsville, Illinois, passed away at 5:15 PM on Monday, October 17, 2022 at his home in Biggsville. Jim was born February 3, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Robert Lee and Harriett Marie (Morgan) McClintic. He attended school in the area and was a graduate of Burlington High School with the Class of 1962. On December 24, 1962, Jim married Linda Lou Krow in Lancaster, Missouri and she is surviving. Jim worked at the West Central School District as a custodian from which he retired. He loved working outdoors; especially mowing, which in Jim’s words, were his time to think. He enjoyed watching sports and was a fan of the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals. He also attended many sporting events and West Central. He liked to play cards, lottery tickets, and hanging out with his friends at the local service station. Mostly, Jim loved his family.
Jim is survived by his wife Linda at home, one daughter, Lynette (Alan Berg) Mason of Abingdon, Illinois, two sons, James (Roberta) McClintic II of Orange Park, Florida and Jason McClintic of Biggsville, Illinois, three granddaughters; Francesca McClintic, Stephanie (Jeff) Dudman and Jena (Nick) Barkley, and four grandsons; Joshua McClintic, James McClintic III, Jacob McClintic, and Jeffrey Mason. He is also survived by two great-grandsons; Tyler and Bo Barkley. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William McClintic.
A graveside service for Jim McClintic is planned for 10:30 AM on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Biggsville Township Cemetery. A memorial is being established for Jim’s family.
