Following a successful ninth annual backpack party this summer, local Kids Community Project Director Karla Wallace has hosted a series of BINGO nights with the next event scheduled for Thursday, October 20th at Meks on Main in Monmouth beginning at 6 pm. 50/50 raffle, prizes, food, vendors, and a $3 cover charge includes three BINGO cards for attendees. Wallace shares proceeds from this event, as well as the previous BINGO nights, will benefit the second annual Christmas party toy drive:

“This is my second annual Christmas party giveaway for the kids and the proceeds that I get from BINGO, it will go out and buy the toys, it buys the BINGO cards, chips, food, and items I need for the BINGO. Kids ages three to twelve are welcome to come. Every kid will leave there with a gift. We will have Santa Claus there. K Doc Patterson is my DJ and has been for the last nine years of the Back to School Backpack program for me. We will have food, music, and fun.”

Toy donations can be dropped off at the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce. Karla’s Giving for All the Right Reasons this Season Christmas Party will be held Sunday, December 18th from 5 to 9 pm at Meks on Main.
