MDH to Kick-off Holiday Season by Holding 16th Annual Festival of Trees

Share

The McDonough District Hospital Foundation will once again kick off the Holiday season by hosting the 16th annual Festival of Trees. The Festival is a fundraising event to benefit MDH and the funds raised this year are being directed toward a CT scanner technology upgrade.

The festivities will begin Monday, November 28, with the Teddy Bear Social “Ladies Night Out” at The Macomb Dining Company (upstairs). Admission is $20 and a new teddy bear. The bears will be given to pediatric patients at MDH and there will be a silent auction of themed baskets.

The Macomb Arts Center will be transformed into a Holiday wonderland featuring a beautiful display of Holiday trees. Jingle & Mingle will be held Thursday evening, December 1. This ticketed event is black tie optional and $50 per person. Attendees can meander through the many exquisite trees as they enjoy hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment. There will be a Fund-A-Need auction held during the event.

The Festival of Trees will be open to the community with a $3 admission fee at the times and dates listed below (children 10 and under are free):

·         Friday, December 2: 4-8 p.m.

·         Saturday, December 3: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

·         Sunday, December 4: 12-4 p.m.

·         Monday, December 5: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
