Phillip Lee Mecum, 62, of Swan Creek, Formerly of Midway, AR, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Monday, October 3, 2022. Phillip was born February 22, 1960, in Monmouth, IL, to Benny and June (Waller) Mecum. He graduated from Roseville High School in 1978.

Phillip worked at Wilson Food in Monmouth for 5 years. He married Pam Conner of Abingdon and they moved to Midway and built their own home. They later divorced. He worked as a welder by trade.

Phillip enjoyed hunting and fishing on Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas. He enjoyed being with family and was a Christian man strong in his faith in Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his parents, Benny and June Mecum; his sisters, Janet (Lynn) Hunt and Mona Smith of Swan Creek; brother, Kirk Mecum of San Diego, CA, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Thelbert and Lula Mecum and James and Alta Waller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the funeral home. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Roseville Area Ambulance Service and left in the care of the funeral home. Wise Family Funeral Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
