Postseason Begins This Week for Two Monmouth-Roseville Teams

This week will be a particularly busy one for sports at Monmouth-Roseville high school.

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans will host a class 2A regional at The Shoebox at Monmouth-Roseville High School this week. Monday’s quarterfinals feature 10th seeded Farmington and 11-seed Midwest Central. The winner of that one will take on (30-3) and top-seed Macomb in the first semi-final on Tuesday night. The winner of tonight’s second quarterfinal match between 8th seeded Canton and 12th seeded Peoria Manual will play the host Lady Titans in the second semifinal on Tuesday night at around 7:00. Monmouth-Roseville is (20-11) overall. The championship is Thursday night.

On Friday night, the 12th seeded Titans varsity football team takes the 2 and a half hour drive to Stillman Valley, to take on the 5th seeded Cardinals. The Titans finished the season 5-4, but are coming off a rough loss to 9-0 Princeton on Friday night. Head Coach Jeremy Adolphson, discussed the mentality of the team, trying to rebound from a loss and taking on a top playoff team this week.
