With a good stretch of weather ahead, farmers will get a good run of getting the crops in and wrapping up this harvest season. Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Manager Gina Sanberg reports overall yields have been very solid in the local area:

“I have heard good things. I have heard good yields. It almost seems like, not in every area in our counties, but I think to some other parts of the states too, we have had very good yields, very good solid yields. I have even heard of some people saying they had corn on corn 250 average. It is just very, depending on where you are, I think it has been a very good solid year, so we have that to be thankful for.”

According to Mike Albano with the National Weather Service in Lincoln, November is setting up to be mild; however, things could be a bit wet.
