Warren Achievement Center Thankful to Monmouth Community

Warren Achievement Center provides many opportunities for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities to learn and be active members of the local community. Fundraising is a main part in being able to offer the amount of activities consumers can participate in, which Marketing Coordinator Sean Cavanaugh attributes to a community:

“This year we have had a wonderful year of fundraising. We’ve got a lot of community support. Warren Achievement Center is fee based, they just don’t give us a set amount of money and say go to it, it depends on what type of activities or needs have to be met by those we serve. If we relied just on those funds only, Warren Achievement Center would not be near as wonderful as it is today. It takes a lot of work by a lot of people to be able to bring in extra funds to be able to elevate service. We are very, very fortunate with local foundations and local individuals and so forth that take part in our programming by donating funds.”

Local contributions assist in providing the consumers with holiday parties, taking day trips to Camp Big Sky, and just day to day activities. In even more showings of support to the program from the community, Monmouth College Football Coach Chad Braun brings the football team to meet the consumers during their day program.
