BCA Executive Dir. Gilbert Grateful of Local Arts Supporters

Share

This Saturday, November 12th is the annual Buchanan Center for the Arts Taste of the Arts Gala, which is a festive evening that helps raise funds to support numerous arts programs in the local community, shares Executive Director Kristyne Gilbert:

“All of those efforts go to supporting artists, as well as, arts organizations in our area that is part of a matching grant. We are just really thrilled to be able to support not only our own efforts, but other arts organizations that reach out into the communities, such as the ICS theatre production, the Buchanan Community Chorus, and the Monmouth Civic Orchestra. We have funded the rural initiative through Monmouth College where students spend the week at an art camp and we have individual artists come and create art and teach art.”

While this year’s event is sold out, contributions can be made in supporting the local arts, plus upcoming classes and events continue to be scheduled at the BCA, which are open to the entire public, and can be found online at http://bcaarts.org.
