On Friday morning, November 11, McDonough County Sheriff’s Detectives conducted interviews regarding a possible sexual assault that had taken place in July of 2022. The female victim under the age of 17 was allegedly assaulted over the 4th of July weekend near Bushnell in McDonough County.
Detectives located Thomas J. Hardi, 26, of Bushnell, at his residence in Bushnell and took into custody at 5:43 p.m. Hardi is a registered sex offender. Thomas Hardi was charged with Criminal Sexual Assault, was processed and lodged into the McDonough County Jail. Over the weekend Hardi was assigned a bond of $50,000.00 with 10% to apply.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
