Carol Ann Becraft, 83, of Roseville, IL. passed away at the Courtyard Estates of Knoxville IL. Thursday November 17, 2022 at 9:00 pm. She was born August 7, 1939 in Harrison County, Indiana. She was the daughter and first child of Edward and Agnes (Davis) Babcock.  Carol grew up in Berwick, IL graduating from Roseville High School.  She married Gerald Wayne Becraft on September 7, 1958 and they raised their family in Roseville.  They were happily married for 59 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children David Wayne (Jodi) Becraft of Baraboo, WI, Kenneth Edward (Cindy) Becraft of Knoxville, IL, Steven Michael (Jeanne) Becraft of Crozier, VA and Richard Allen (Jauna) Becraft of Baraboo, WI; grandchildren Amanda (Strashe) Petrov, Ashley Becraft (Christopher Millar), Joe (Manu) Becraft, Nathan (Mallory) Becraft, Mary (Max) Zemanick, Anne (Cortland) Brigham, Sarah (Tanner) Morgan, Mitchell Becraft, Grace Becraft, Kaleb (Jamie) Becraft, Amber Becraft (Skyler Seep) , Matthew Becraft; one brother James (Alice) Babcock of Roseville ,IL; Sister-in-laws Nancy Becraft and Jolece Sprout of Roseville IL, and Emily Babcock of Menomonie WI; and 11 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Becraft, her parents, Edward and Agnes Babcock, sister Martha Wadell, brothers Bob Babcock, Bill Babcock, John Babcock, Harlan Babcock, daughter in-law Ellen Becraft and great grandson Macen Petrov.

Carol was a terrific “boy” Mom to her four sons and to many others she touched along life’s journey.  She was an active Member of the United Methodist Church, WSCS Club, P.E.O. Chapter N. and was a passionate supporter of the Helping Hands Food Pantry that aligned with her desire to keep people fed.  Jerry and Carol moved back from Baraboo WI. to Roseville after they retired, where they shared life with many lifelong friends. They enjoyed fellowship, playing cards, traveling and serving on mission trips together. Many of those friends were active in visiting Carol these last several months and her family is deeply appreciative of the love you have shown her. Carol was a special lady to many people of all ages and clearly gave more than she took while on this earth.

Services will be Monday November 28, 2022.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral beginning at 12:00 o’clock, both at the United Methodist Church in Roseville, IL. Burial will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery in Roseville, IL. Wise Family Funeral Homes Roseville, IL are in charge of the arrangements.
