Dickens on the Square Kicks Off the Holiday Season

The 28TH annual Dickens on the Square will be Friday, December 2nd and December 3rd in historic downtown Macomb. Complete with all of your favorites, including horse-drawn trolley rides, living windows, strolling carolers, Victorian characters. This year’s event will also feature Wrapped in Kindness at City Hall, and Video Story Time at the Macomb Public Library.

Friday night’s events will include the popular horse-drawn trolley rides, reindeer sleigh rides, living windows, live music, Festival of Trees, and more. On Friday night you can also get all your holiday gifts wrapped at the Wrapped in Kindness event at City Hall from meet and greet Santa at the train station at 6:15pm. Santa will disembark and head directly to his cabin on the north side of the square to visit with children from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

On Saturday, visitors will have the opportunity to head to the Macomb Public Library and make a story time or greeting video for your loved ones. Of course, the Children’s Shopping Mall will be returning to Citizens Bank on Saturday from 10:00am-12:00pm. These are just a few of the many events going on December 2nd and December 3rd at Dickens on the Square. Make sure you check out Downtown Macomb Facebook page for more information.
