Election Day Polls Open until 7 pm

It is Election Day in Illinois and across the country.  Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker is trying to win a second term against challenger and Republican state Senator Darren Bailey.   Democrat U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth is also trying to win a second term as she faces Republican Kathy Salvi.  Democrat Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul is being challenged by Republican civil attorney Tom DeVore.  Two of the Illinois Supreme Court’s seven seats are also up for grabs, giving Republicans a chance to win a majority of the state’s highest court for the first time in more than half a century.  The polls are scheduled to be open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
