The proposed amendment of the addition of Section 25 to Article 1 of the Illinois Constitution leads off the November 8th General Election ballot followed by contested federal, state, congressional, legislative, and representative races. Warren County Clerk and Recorder Tina Conard says election judges are needed for all twenty-eight precincts:
“We are desperately seeking election judges. We need them for all twenty-eight precincts. It is an opportunity to serve your community, learn the process, and to see in-person the importance of voting, and to see democracy in action, plus earn a little money. We need both Democrat and Republican judges because Illinois is still a party state when it comes to elections, so you will have to choose a party that you want to work for. If anyone is interested in being an election judge, all you need to do is call the office and we will take their name and what party they want to work for. If you are a college student and even high school students can now be election judges. They have to be 17 and do need to get permission from the school.”
