The Illinois Football team has climbed to 14th overall in the AP Poll. It’s the highest they have been since 2007. The Illini beat Nebraska on the road on Saturday and are preparing for Michigan State this week. Head Coach Brett Bielema says his players trying to stay in the moment but are getting ready for Michigan State.

“I can control what is said in our room, right, but I can’t control what you guys say to them, when they go home to their mom and dad, aunts, uncles, girlfriend, cousin; everyone is telling them how good they are and I just think this group continues to show up, go to work. I think they are excited to play Michigan State. Literally as soon as we are walking off the field I hear them talking about it, so I think our guys are locked into the moment.”

Illinois is the third highest ranked Big Ten team.
