Judith Ann Konecki, 82, of Galesburg, died at 10:04 a.m. Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Hannibal Region Hospital, Hannibal, MO.

Judy was born March 28, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Joseph Julius and Sophie Ann (Chaston) Wanat.  Judy and Edward R. Konecki were married October 31, 1959 in Chicago. 

Judy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ed of Galesburg; two daughters Tonya Ann Hendrickson of St. Louis, MO and Kimberley Ann (Patrick) Sullivan of Ellisville, MO.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Owen (Kierstyn) Sullivan, Collin Sullivan, Elizabeth Ann Hendrickson, and Nicholas Hendrickson; and one great grandson, Augustus Sullivan. 

Judy worked in the Trust and Investments Department at First Galesburg National Bank and Trust, later Norwest, and retired from Wells Fargo in 2003.  She was an active member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and volunteered with the St. Vincent DePaul Society and belonged to the Corpus Christi Altar and Rosary Society.  Judy loved cats and birds, travelling, reading, and spending time with her friends.  But what she cherished most was being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

The rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg with funeral mass following at 10:30 a.m. Father Lee Brokaw will officiate.  Private family burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be directed to the Society of St. Vincent DePaul.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com
