Jamieson Community Center Executive Director Nancy Mowen says grant funds are available to families in need of rental assistance through the Illinois Rental Payment Program:
“We have developed a really nice system. So many families right now are new to needing help. They have been self-sufficient in the past and they find themselves now in a place where they are just not sure what to do. We have a big binder of resources. If people call us or stop in, we will take down some information and then we have a triage system where we look at the family’s information and then we help them identify resources that can help them get out of their current situation.”
