Matthew Link Elected New Henderson County Sheriff

Henderson County has elected Matthew Link as their new Sheriff. Link has served 21 years with the department as a Deputy, Investigator, and Chief Deputy and is ready to bring a proactive approach to the team in his new position as Sheriff:

“How I started the K-9 program, I would like to get that K-9 program into a position where we can utilize that a lot more to help the community get some drugs off the streets and use that K-9 to its’ full advantage. I would really like to get a TRIAD program going for our county to help take care of our seniors. Another good goal I would like to see is the before I have worked on a grant to get a School Resource Officer in our schools and get some more security and safety there for our children.”

Link will be sworn in as Henderson County Sheriff December 5th.
