She was born May 24, 1938, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Willard and Alice Jo (Bigelow) Hollis.  She married Rev. Paul G. Aurand on June 7, 1957, in Ellisville.  He preceded her in death on January 4, 2022, after nearly 65 years of marriage.

She is survived by two sons, Paul (Michele) Aurand of Newton, Iowa and John (Tracy) Aurand of Salem, Illinois; two daughters, Jodi Springer of Rancho Santa Margarita, California and Teri (Lonnie) Sheldon of Galesburg; grandchildren, Paul (Trish) Aurand, Victoria (Karl) Oler, Micah Aurand, Morgan (Wolf) Oler, Philip Aurand, Parker Aurand, Jack Springer, Sydney Springer, Amanda (Greg) Forke, and Emma (Joe) Rhodes; great grandchildren, Dawson, Brooks, Jacob, Kaylee, William, and Ethel; and brothers, Berton (Betty) Hollis and John (Donna) Hollis.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Cavitt Hollis.

Rosemary was a dedicated minister’s wife, faithfully serving alongside her husband with Nazarene Churches in Galena, Aledo, Sunnyland, Oregon, Silvis and Moline, Illinois, before retiring.  She was currently a member of Galesburg First Church of the Nazarene.  Additionally, Rosemary was an administrator assistant at Morning Star Academy in Bettendorf for 28 years before retiring on May 1, 2021.

Rosemary loved to garden and quilt.  Most notably, she will be remembered for taking care of her family more than herself.
