Thomas George Kelly, 59, of Roseville Illinois, passed away on November 16, 2022 due to complications from surgery.
Tom was born on March 8, 1963, to George and Lois Kelly in Avon, Illinois. After Tom graduated from Roseville High School in 1981, he went on to study Diesel Mechanics at Parkland College.
After graduation, he started his career as a diesel mechanic at Munson Transportation before driving professionally for them. He went on to drive for Sharkey Transportation and W.W. Transport. After coming off the road he finally found a job he really enjoyed, third shift audit at the AmericInn by Wyndham in Monmouth. He really enjoyed working with his girls.
In 1988, Tom met Krista Cook in Eaton, Ohio. They were married on February 11th, 1989. Tom and Krista spent thirty-three amazing years together and had three children Stephanie (Joshua) Friese, Travis, and Karter. He was also blessed with two amazing grandsons, Nolan George and Henry Walter Friese.
Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents and father. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, mother (Lois Kelly) and sister (Mary Kelly).
Tom was an avid Cardinal fan and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes. Go BUCKS!
A gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Wise Family Funeral Home, Roseville, on Sunday, November 20th between four and six pm. There will be a dinner to follow at the Roseville Community Center and everyone is welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Roseville Community Center, an organization Tom felt strongly about.
