Time to Turn the Clocks Back, Check Those Smoke Detectors Too

Share

It’s almost time to turn back the clock, and the American Red Cross is encouraging the public to use the reminder to check their smoke detectors.

According to Red Cross Spokesman Brian Williamsen, he calls it the ‘turn and test.’

According to Williamsen, smoke detectors should be located outside bedrooms and around sleeping areas.

As the clock turns back an hour this weekend, the Red Cross said it’s also time to get a fire escape plan that allows all family members to get out in two minutes if a fire occurs.
