United Discusses Additions of Junior High Softball and Football

Share

The United Board of Education has begun discussion of adding junior high softball and football back to the list of extracurricular activities, shares Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt:

“I think everybody is pretty well in agreement that they would like to see us do that. We will bring back a little bit of information and make a final call on that in December. I know Mr. Robertson and Mr. Lancaster at the Junior High have already been doing some grunt work on that and appears we can get some schedules in for next year if we need to. We just have a few logistics to zero in on and we will try and pull that together and make a call on that in December so we can move forward as needed.”

If passed, the addition of junior high softball and football could begin as early as the 2023-2024 school year.
