Christopher I. Bowers, 61, of Monmouth, IL formerly of Peoria, IL passed away at 4:40 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his home.
Chris was born June 12, 1961 in Peoria, IL the son of Marvin F. and Elaine (Gorsuch) Bowers. He was raised and educated in Peoria and Lincoln, IL. Chris moved to Monmouth in 1981.
Chris worked at Achievement Industries in Monmouth for close to 40 years.
Chris was not only special he was extraordinary! Rarely sad, Chris knew what he wanted and was uncompromising in getting it. He loved babies, Elvis, tube socks, ball point pens, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Mountain Dew. What a brother and uncle he was! He truly will be missed.
Survivors include his brothers, Steve (Malin) Bowers of Glenview, IL, Phil (Beth) Bowers of Peoria, IL, Guy (Janis) Bowers of Simi Valley, CA and Gene (Ginny) Bowers of Peoria; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death parents and his brother and sister-in-law, Paul (Mary) Bowers.
Memorial services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Warren Achievement Center, 1314 S. Main St. Monmouth, Il with interment to immediately follow at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Memorials may be given to Warren Achievement and sent to the funeral home.
