Flu cases are surging across the country.  The CDC has announced at least 13-million people have been sick with the flu this season and 43 states are experiencing high or very high levels of respiratory virus activity.  It’s resulted in mass hospitalizations and nearly 73-hundred reported deaths.  In fact, over a third of all flu hospitalizations or deaths this year have occurred just in the last week.  The CDC is advising people to get this year’s flu shot, stay home when sick, and wash their hands frequently to prevent spreading illnesses.
