“Keep the Wreath Red” Campaign Underway at the Monmouth Fire Dept.

Share

The holiday season is now upon us and the Monmouth Fire Department wants to remind everyone to be safe while celebrating with friends and family. Each year, MFD participates in the “Keep the Wreath Red” campaign in which a wreath decorated with red lights is hung on the front of the station. Firefighter Mangieri and Captain Cozadd stand with the wreath at Station I. Whenever a residential structure fire occurs in the community, a red light is changed to white. This campaign is meant to promote awareness to the public about the dangers of home fires around the holidays. MFD wants to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SMOKE ALARMS!! They are your first line of defense when a home fire occurs.
