Kitty J. Wixom- Talley, 65, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 11:56 pm, Friday, December 23, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Kitty was born September 11, 1957 in Richie County, West Virginia the daughter of Lloyd and Hazel (Franklin) Carpenter.  She was raised and educated in West Virginia and Bonaparte, Iowa. 

Kitty married David “Gomez” Talley and he preceded her in death.

Kitty worked at Eagle Foods and later Ayerco both in Monmouth for several years.

She enjoyed flowers and collecting season decorations. 

Kitty is survived by her children, Jeremiah Sherrill of Kahoka, MO, Janessa (Jason) Erb of Argyle IA, Katie (Aaron) Miller of Marion, IA and Molly Kayser of Iowa City, IA; her fiancé, Bill Davis of Monmouth; 3 grandchildren, Mackenzie Sherrill, Aaron Dodds and Landon Miller; her siblings, Sue Carpenter on Kanawha Co, Virginia Black of Kanawha Co. West Virginia, Thomas Carpenter of Texas and Melvin Carpenter of Iowa; several nieces and nephews and Zacks cat Ozzy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Talley; sons, Zackery Talley, Michael Carpenter & Jason Carrico; and her brother, Lloyd Gilbert Carpenter, her sister, Diane Carpenter.

Cremation has been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be scheduled and announced at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the Kitty Wixom-Talley Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
