MDH voted Best in McDonough County

For the sixth consecutive year, McDonough District Hospital departments and personnel were voted Best of the Best in McDonough County. MDH Home Health Care and MDH Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation both received the Best of the Best award for the sixth consecutive year in its respective category.

Kaity Kipling, PT, DPT, received the Best Physical Therapist award for the third straight year. That now extends the streak to six consecutive years a MDH Physical Therapist received recognition as Best of the Best.

The McDonough County Voice announced the award winners on Sunday (Dec. 4).

MDH also was voted having the Best Employee Recognition Program for the fifth consecutive year (2018-2022), and for the first time since 2018 MDH captured the Best Overall Place to Work honor.

Dr. John Arnold (Bushnell Family Practice) finished third in the Best Family/General Practice Physician category. MDH Board of Director member Dr. Curtis Farr (Springfield Clinic) won the award. Amy Waschull, MD (Springfield Clinic Family Practice), Medical Director of MDH Home Health and Hospice, finished second.

Danelle Smith, PT, DPT, finished second in the Best Physical Therapist category followed by Phyllis McLouth, PT, DPT, in third place.

MDH was runner-up in the Best Customer Service category.

MDH Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation provides both inpatient and outpatient skilled services for patients of all ages at four convenient locations. MDH Therapists strive to reduce a patient’s pain and dizziness, increase flexibility, build strength, correct posture, and improve their overall function.

Home Health Care covers McDonough County and a surrounding four-county area. The MDH staff provides specialized medical care in the comfort of patients’ homes while recovering from an illness or injury.
