Monmouth College Basketball Teams off to Solid Starts in 2022

The Monmouth College men and women’s basketball teams are both to 5-3 starts to open up the 2022-2023 season. Both teams were at conference rival Beloit on Saturday, with the women falling in a close 63-57 loss, and the men holding off the Buccaneers for a 77-65 win. The loss for the women drops them to 1-1 in conference play, while the win for the men bumps them up to 2-0 in MWC play.
Head coach for the Scots men’s basketball team, Todd Skrivseth, highlighted the strengths that his team will rely on down the stretch, giving praise to his team’s leading scorer in the process.

The Scots are back in action tonight as they travel to Jacksonville, to take on Illinois College. The women start first with a 5:30 tipoff, and the men follow right after at 7:30.
