OSF HealthCare Announces New Chief Medical Officer for Hospitals in Galesburg and Monmouth

OSF HealthCare is pleased to announce Glenn J. Milos, DO-MPH, JD-MDB, CPE, as the new vice president, chief medical officer for OSF HealthCare St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg and OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth.

In this position, Dr. Milos will be responsible for leading the practice of medicine as a member of the executive teams for OSF St. Mary and OSF Holy Family. He will ensure consistency in practice standards, facilitate an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care, and will develop and share the vision and strategic direction for the practice of medicine while collaborating on the implementation of the strategy. Dr. Milos will maintain a clinical presence by practicing emergency medicine at both facilities.

Dr. Milos most recently served as the regional medical director of emergency services at Mercyhealth in Rockford. He served in a variety of roles at Mercyhealth during his tenure there. Prior to that, Dr. Milos was a staff physician for emergency medicine at OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He also served as chairman of the Medical Emergency Code Blue Committee leading quality initiatives for the OSF HealthCare Ministry.

Dr. Milos earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona and went on to earn a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.. Dr. Milos went on to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Public Health from Benedictine University. He also is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois

Dr. Milos is married to Mary. They are the proud parents of Katie, James and Molly. In his spare time, Dr. Milos enjoys travelling, swimming and spending time with his family. This includes caring for his father, Jim.
