Patricia A. Garner, 78, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 6:25 a.m., Thursday, December 8, 2022 at her home.
She was born on August 17, 1944 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Bessie (Schultz) Lefort. Patricia was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1961.
Patricia married Larry “Butch” Garner in 1963 in Monmouth, IL; he preceded her in death in 2018.
Patricia worked in the office for 33 years at Maytag in Galesburg. She enjoyed going on Red Hatter outings and her parties with the Maytag girls. Most of all, Patricia loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed going to family gatherings.
Surviving Patricia are her children, Larry (Kara) Garner of Monmouth, IL, Jenny (Matt) Hinton of Alpha, IL; her grandchildren, Ashley Gaskill of Alexis, IL, Kayley Garner of Little York, IL, Madison (Levi) Sherman of Oneida, IL, Mitchell Hinton of New Windsor, IL, Megan (Cody) Greene of Knoxville, IL, Logan VanSkike of Monmouth, IL; her great grandchildren, Alec Gaskill, Olivia VanSkike, Isabelle Garner, Adrian Gaskill, Ellisyn Greene, Adley Gaskill, Matthew Sherman, Elliott Greene, and Averleigh Sherman. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Butch Garner; her daughter, Cathy Garner; her grandson, Dustin Lee Wayne Garner; two sisters, Lucy Garner and Mary Jo Poole.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. No visitation hours are planned. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Memorials can be made to the Patricia Garner Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
