Timothy Russell Dace, 54, of Roseville, IL, passed away at 6:19 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2022.  He was born March 20, 1968 in Macomb, IL, the son of Russell and Mildred (Martin) Dace. He was raised and educated in Colchester, IL, graduating from Colchester High School in 1986. He later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from WIU in 1989.

Surviving Tim is his wife, Marsha; sons, Dakota and Jared Dace, all of Roseville; two “bonus children” Dalton Matthews (Colchester) and Lexie Matthews (Minneapolis);  siblings, Maribeth Kilbride, Jeff Dace, Regina Moyes and bonus brother and best friend, Jack Matthews; in-laws, Dale and Melva Jean Cromer and Sally Ringenberg and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his best buddy, his oldest son’s  Australian Shepherd, Colt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Bob Ringenberg.

Tim married the love of his life, Marsha Ringenberg, on November 18, 1989. They were married at that time because they were both on Thanksgiving break from WIU. After graduating from college he worked for Growmark and for the past several years has been  the Northern Region Manager for Western Grain Marketing. Tim went above and beyond for his beloved employees and customers. He always wanted to make sure they were taken care of and treated right–even if this sometimes meant he had to be stubborn and hold his ground—he always wanted what was best for them.  He also took great pride in taking care and maintaining the Warren County Fairgrounds, as well as many other yards. Whatever job Tim took on, you could count on it being done right and to the best of his ability. Tim was a loyal friend and neighbor, someone who would always have your back and help you out (even if you didn’t always ask for that help).

Tim loved riding ATVs and side-by-sides. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He was passionate about sports and enjoyed watching the Cardinals and Packers on tv as well as attending all of the Monmouth-Roseville High School and Monmouth College Football games. He was also a diehard fan of the Roseville-Yorkwood Football team. Tim loved his family and would do anything for them. He was so proud of his two boys and everything they accomplished. He instilled in them a strong work ethic and the importance of taking responsibility. He loved his community, despite not being born there, he was Roseville through and through. He would do anything for anyone if asked and he was a genuinely great person.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the Roseville Community Center with Pastor Tom Mehaffy officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roseville Community Fund or Roseville Community Center  and left in the care of the funeral home. Wise Family Funeral Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
