Story by Prairie Communications intern Kadin Rogers
The United high school boys varsity basketball team kept over the busy over the past 7 days, as the Red Storm have been hosting their United Holiday tournament. Currently, the boys hold a 1-2 record in the tournament, opening with a Saturday morning win over West Central, dropping a Saturday afternoon game to Midwest Central, and falling to Bushnell Prairie City last night. These results bring the Red Storm to 5-7 on the season.
Despite the up and down start to the season, Head Coach Doug Dennison says his team is going to have opportunities to bounce back.
United continues Holiday tournament action tomorrow night with a match against Ridgewood at 7:30. For the full interview with Coach Dennison, visit the Sports Podcast section of our website, radiomonmouth.com.
