Story by Prairie Communications intern Kadin Rogers

The United girls varsity basketball team has been on a long break from game action since December 15th, when they played Ridgewood in the United holiday tournament. Currently the girls squad sits at 7-7 under first year head coach Chris Olson. Next up for the Red Storm is Abingdon-Avon on Wednesday January 4th and West Central on January 5th. With the long break, the girls squad has squeezed in multiple practices in the past two weeks. Coach Olson, appearing on the WRAM morning show, went through the teams current philosophy during the extended off-period.
