Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending December 18, 2022:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls basektball player, Tatianna Talivaa. Tatianna scored a career-high 17 points in a Three Rivers Conference win over Rockridge. Among those 17 points was three, 3-pointers. Tatianna also had a pair of steals on defense, as well.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior boys basketball player, Hunter Hall. What a great finish to the United Holiday Tournament for Hunter. In the final three games of the week, Hunter averaged 17 points, five rebounds and four steals. He poured in 26 points and had 7 steals in a victory over West Prairie.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Nick Woods. Nick might be hitting his stride as the holiday break approaches. He busted out for 10 points in a narrow United Holiday Tournament loss to Ridgewood. Nick hit a 3-pointer and also went 5-7 from the free throw line.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is junior boys swimmer, Riley Stevenson. Riley took home a plethora of hardware for his performance at the 30th annual Peoria Richwoods Midwest Invite. Individually, he garnered a 1st place in the 50 yard freestyle and a 2nd in the 100 yard backstroke. Riley was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay team and the 3rd place 200 freestyle relay team.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls basketball player, Hailey Redding. Hailey poured in 21 points against Elmwood and was in double figures with 10 points against Macomb at the Great Western Shootout. In addition to the 10 points against Macomb, Hailey also pulled down six rebounds.
