Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 27, 2022:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Nick Bresnahan. Nick was named to the Orion 10 & 32 Tip-off Classic All-Tournament Team as the Titans went (3-1) for the week. In his team’s four games, he averaged 10 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2 assists per contest. Nick made the most of his shot attempts, making 45% from the field.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Abel Wilson. Abel was fantastic in his team’s 3rd place finish at the ROWVA/Williamsfield Thanksgiving Tournament. He averaged 24 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2 steals in five games. Abel made a total of 16, 3-pointers and shot 84% from the free throw line.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Mason Caarnes. Despite having minimal practices due to a state championship football run, Mason had a great week at the ROWVA/Williamsfield Tournament. He was in double figures in each of the five games, averaging 14.5 points a contest. Mason had 25 poinst against tournament winner, Riverdale.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Easton Steck. Easton got his season off to a great start with his performance in a win against Canton in the opening game of the Silver Streak Thanksgiving Tournament. He was close to a triple-double on the night with a career high 21 points, hauling down 9 rebounds and handing out 7 assists.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior boys basketball player, Asa Stegall. Asa led the Tornadoes three main categories during the Orion 10 & 32 Tip-off Classic Tournament. He scored 8 points, pulled down 5 rebounds and handed out 4 assists per game. Asa was also perfect from the free throw line for the week, as well.
