Mildred V. “Millie” Galusha, 90, of Kirkwood, IL, passed away at 5:05 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at her home.

She was born on August 12, 1932 in Smithshire, IL, the daughter of Vernon and Margaret (Rosenbalm) Ross.  Millie graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1950. 

Millie married Eugene Galusha on February 24, 1952 in Kirkwood, IL; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2016.

Millie worked in the accounting department of Bowman Colwell for many years.  Later she was a farm wife and homemaker.  She was an avid reader and baker.  Millie enjoyed traveling with her husband, Eugene. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and having conversations with friends.  She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood.    

Surviving Millie are siblings, Doris (Joe) Wasson, Ed (Marj) Ross, James “Chester” (Barb) Ross; her nieces and nephews, Janet (Tom) Struss, Jeff (Diane) Wasson, Mike (Patty) Ross, Cathy Ross, Ron (Dana) Ross, Mark Ross, Ann Ross, Bob Ross, Susan (Rick) LaFollette, Steve (Gina) Ross, Mary Ann (Kenny) Eiserman, Russell (Carol) Galusha, Cherry (David) Simmons, Tom (Sandy) Galusha, Lisa Burgland, LeeAnn Galusha, Gaye Lynn Galusha, Toni Kay Galusha.  Also surviving are numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene, one sister, Carol Guilinger; two brothers, Robert Ross and William Ross; one nephew, Roger Burgland.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood, IL.  Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Westminster Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
