In the midst of cold and flu season, determining what ailment you of a family member may be experiencing can be challenging as COVID, the flu, RSV, allergies, and the common cold have similar symptoms. OSF HealthCare Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Jennifer Jensen shares one of the main differences in determining an illness is shortness of breath:

Prevent illnesses by washing your hands frequently, avoid close contact with those that are sick, avoid touching your nose or eyes, clean surfaces often with disinfectants, and stay up to date on vaccinations.
