The Alexis Community Fund Advisory Board is accepting applications for its 2023 grant cycle from February 1 through March 10. This grant opportunity funds projects that shape the future and promote the wellbeing of the Alexis community.
The Alexis Community Fund will award grants to nonprofit organizations that contribute to the Alexis community. All Alexis 501(c)(3) nonprofit or public charities, including churches, schools, and government agencies, are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit projects that will be completed by the end of 2023. Organizations may submit one application this grant cycle. Projects must have a tangible and visible public outcome.
John Elder, a member of the Alexis Community Fund Advisory Board, said, “We challenge our community partners to join us in making Alexis an even better community to call home. We look forward to receiving applications that improve our community and enrich the lives of our neighbors.”
Last year, the Alexis Community Fund awarded grants to the Village of Alexis for the Alexis Schools Veterans Board project and to the Alexis Branch of the Warren County Public Library to repair the sign on its building.
Applications are available at Farmers State Bank of Western Illinois as well as online at www.yourgcf.org/Alexis. Questions regarding the application can be directed to Sarah Grant, Galesburg Community Foundation Director of Development, at sgrant@yourgcf.org.
The Alexis Community Fund is an endowment fund established through a challenge grant from the Twomey Foundation, Warren County United Way, and Galesburg Community Foundation and gifts from friends interested in helping Alexis now and in the future. The fund makes grants available to qualifying nonprofit organizations.
