FDA advisors are recommending that a popular overdose treatment be sold over the counter.  An independent panel said Wednesday that making Narcan nasal spray available without a prescription would significantly expand access to the life-saving treatment.  Many states have already issued blanket prescriptions allowing pharmacies to distribute Narcan, which reverses opioid overdoses.  The FDA is expected to make a final decision on the recommendation by March 29th.
