How to Spot Scams This Tax Season

Tax filing season is here and with that brings scammers. Security Savings Bank Vice President Dorothy Ricketts offers this advice for spotting fraudulent callers claiming to be the IRS, the federal government, or Social Security office:

Ricketts says another item to recognize in identifying a scam is the person that contacted you will want you to keep the situation a secret. Always feel free to contact your local banker about any suspicious activity.
