Illinois Bettors May Have Topped 85 Million In Super Bowl Bets

They’re still counting the betting slips, but Super Bowl Sunday could be a record-breaker for Illinois’ sportsbooks. The folks at PlayIllinois expected 86 million-dollars in bets for yesterday’s game. They’re not sure yet just how much the final tally was. Illinois is one of the top five states for sports betting in the country, PlayIllinois says. The state’s Gaming Board last week said Illinois saw 10 billion-dollars worth of legal sports bets last year alone.
